Mono Flange Valves are valves that contains one, two, or three Needle Valves that are fitted in a compact-shaped flange body. They can be Single or Double Block and Bleed Valves that are ideal for applications where weight saving is a key factor.
Mono Flange Valves are very versatile. They combine up to three valves for isolation, block and bleed and regulation for your process.
Firstly, the flow enters the Mono Flange from the pipeline and stops below the first shut-off valve. When it opens, the flow proceeds towards the second shut-off valve, and when opened, the instrument connects to the process line.
After the first shut-off valve closes, the medium encased between valve and instrument is able to be discharged via the vent valve via the vent outlet. The two shut-off valves are now in an angled position, which allows the flow to pass through.
It’s always wise to look at what media is flowing through the application before you choose which configuration of Mono Flange Valve you require. Talk to a Valve and Process expert to get the right valve for your application.
Mono Flange Valves are typically used in live process plants for their ability to achieve positive isolation during maintenance. They are used on gas pressure instrument applications in upstream offshore and onshore oil and gas production and processing.
